LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 138, as introduced, Huff. School districts. Existing law establishes the system of public elementary and secondary schools in this state, and provides for their funding and governance. Existing law establishes school districts throughout the state to administer the public elementary and secondary schools within their respective jurisdictions. This bill would amend this provision to make a technical, nonsubstantive change. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 35010 of the Education Code is amended to read: 35010.
