AN ACT ELIMINATING DOUBLE TAXATION OF CERTAIN PRODUCTS PURCHASED BY BUSINESSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to eliminate double taxation on products purchased by a business from a wholesaler on which such business pays sales tax, which products are then subject to sales tax when resold to a consumer by such business.

Statement of Purpose:

To eliminate double taxation on products purchased by a business from a wholesaler on which such business pays sales tax, which products are then subject to sales tax when resold to a consumer by such business.
