AN ACT EXCLUDING REIMBURSEMENTS TO STATE EMPLOYEES FOR MILEAGE OR OTHER EXPENSES FROM THE CALCULATION OF RETIREMENT INCOME.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to exclude reimbursements to state employees for mileage or other expenses from the calculation of salary for purposes of determining retirement income.

Statement of Purpose:

To decrease the state's budget deficit by reducing future state pension costs.
