AN ACT INCREASING THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT AMOUNT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to increase the maximum amount a landlord may charge a tenant for a security deposit from two months' periodic rent to three months' periodic rent.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the maximum amount a landlord may charge a tenant for a security deposit.
