AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISPLAY OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 10-230 of the general statutes be amended to require each local and regional board of education to provide copies of the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence to each school under its jurisdiction for purposes of displaying such copies while school is in session.

Statement of Purpose:

To require local and regional boards of education to display in each school a copy of the Constitution of the United States and a copy of the Declaration of Independence.
