AN ACT ELIMINATING THE DEPARTMENT ON AGING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the Department on Aging and to reassign its functions to the Department of Social Services.

Statement of Purpose:

To eliminate overlapping state services and promote efficiency in government by undoing the prior transfer of functions from the Department of Social Services to the Department on Aging and by eliminating the Department on Aging.
