AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRIVATIZATION OF A PORTION OF THE STATE'S SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to transfer the administration of twenty per cent of all social service programs from the Department of Social Services, the Department of Developmental Services and any other state agency currently providing social services to qualified private, community-based providers not later than July 1, 2011, without any reduction in services.
Statement of Purpose:
To privatize twenty per cent of all social service programs currently provided by the Department of Social Services, the Department of Developmental Services and any other state agency.
