AN ACT CONCERNING THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM AND UNOPPOSED CANDIDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the granting of funds under the Citizens' Election Program to the candidate committees of unopposed candidates.
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the grant of funds under the Citizens' Election Program to only those candidate committees of candidates who have opponents.
