AN ACT CONCERNING CREDIT IN THE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR CERTAIN TEACHING SERVICE ABROAD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-183e of the general statutes be amended to permit a member of the teachers' retirement system to purchase credited service in said system for service as a teacher in a school established by the United States Department of State at the present value of the full actuarial cost.
Statement of Purpose:
To all teachers who taught in schools established by the United States Department of State to be eligible to purchase their years of service in such schools towards their retirement.
