AN ACT LIMITING CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM GRANTS TO CANDIDATES IN CONTESTED CAMPAIGNS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to restrict grants under the Citizens' Election Program only to candidate committees of candidates with opponents.
Statement of Purpose:
To reserve Citizens' Election Fund moneys only for candidate committees of candidates in contested campaigns.
