AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIMELY REFUND OF INADVERTENT PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 204 of the general statutes be amended to require municipalities to refund inadvertent and excessive property tax payments not later than thirty days after receipt of an application for such refund.
Statement of Purpose:
To require municipalities to refund inadvertent property tax overpayments in a timely manner.
