AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL AND EDUCATION FUND PAYMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that municipal and education funds due to municipalities from the state be provided no later than March thirty-first and that such requirement be met if the amount of such funds are within 3 per cent of the amount estimated.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase municipal budget certainty and reliability by giving towns the ability to budget based on the actual amount of state funds provided.
