AN ACT CONCERNING A SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR HIGH MILEAGE PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subdivision (110) of section 12-412 of the general statutes be amended to provide a sales tax exemption for any passenger motor vehicle, as defined in section 14-1 of the general statutes, including, but not limited to, an electric passenger motor vehicle, that has a United States Environmental Protection Agency estimated city or highway gasoline mileage rating of at least forty miles per gallon.
Statement of Purpose:
To reinstate the sales tax exemption for high mileage passenger motor vehicles.
