AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PUBLIC, EDUCATIONAL AND GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMMING AND EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENT ACCOUNT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the sum of three million four hundred thousand dollars be appropriated to the public, educational and governmental programming and education technology investment account from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, and the sum of three million five hundred thousand dollars be appropriated to the public, educational and governmental programming and education technology investment account from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.

Statement of Purpose:

To stop the fund sweep of the public, educational and governmental programming and education technology investment account and restore the original purpose of providing grants for video programming to Connecticut's schools, municipalities and local public access television.
