AN ACT CONCERNING REPAIR AND RESTORATION OF ELECTRIC SERVICE BY MUNICIPALITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to (1) permit a municipality, under the supervision of an electric distribution company, to contract for repair and restoration of electric service during an electric service outage, (2) permit such municipality to recover costs associated with such contract from such electric distribution company, and (3) provide that such costs shall not be recoverable by such electric distribution company.

Statement of Purpose:

To expedite the repair and restoration of electric service during an electric service outage.
