AN ACT CONCERNING RATES, EXEMPTIONS AND CREDITS UNDER THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to adjust rates, exemptions and credits under the personal income tax so that tax liability, as based upon filing status, is more equitable.
Statement of Purpose:
To adjust the personal income tax tables to eliminate the disproportionate tax liability being placed upon lower and middle income single filers.
