AN ACT CONCERNING CELL PHONE LOCATION SURVEILLANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that law enforcement obtain a proper warrant prior to conducting any cell phone surveillance through the use of any device that simulates cell towers and intercepts cell phone locations unless there is a threat of imminent harm or risk of life.
Statement of Purpose:
To require law enforcement to obtain a proper warrant prior to conducting cell phone location surveillance.
