AN ACT REQUIRING A TWO-THIRDS VOTE OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ENACT CERTAIN LEGISLATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a two-thirds vote of all the members of the General Assembly in order to enact legislation that creates an unfunded mandate on municipalities.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the imposition of additional financial burdens on the state's municipalities.
