AN ACT CONCERNING THE VALIDATION OF MARRIAGES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 815e of the general statutes be amended to establish a process for validating a marriage that was celebrated in this state in reliance on a divorce in another jurisdiction when the divorce is subject to a procedural defect.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a process for validating a marriage in this state when a party to the marriage was a party to a divorce in another jurisdiction and the divorce was subject to a procedural defect.
