AN ACT REIMBURSING TOWNS FOR MOTOR VEHICLE PROPERTY TAX LOSSES ASSOCIATED WITH REVALUATION SCHEDULES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the state budget for the biennium ending June 30, 2017, be amended to make towns whole with regard to car tax revenue lost due to the revaluation schedule if such schedule put towns at a net loss of income.
Statement of Purpose:
To reimburse towns for losses due to the timing of car tax revaluations.
