AN ACT CONCERNING THE STREAMLINING OF STATE GRANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall implement policies and procedures to increase efficiencies and expedite the approval and distribution process for state grants.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	October 1, 2010	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure prompt release of state grant funds.
