AN ACT REQUIRING THE STUDY OF LEAD BY EXAMPLE AND PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2018) (a) The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall conduct a study regarding lead by example, as described in section 16a-37u of the general statutes, and performance contracting.

(b) Not later than July 1, 2019, the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, the results of the study conducted pursuant to subsection (a) of this section to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to energy and technology.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2018	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to conduct a study regarding lead by example and performance contracting.
