AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTORS WHO MOVE BUT REMAIN WITHIN THE SAME VOTING DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that an elector who changes addresses without changing voter registration information shall be permitted to cast an ordinary ballot, provided the elector's previous address and new address are within the same voting district.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow an elector who has moved and not updated their voter registration to cast an ordinary ballot, provided their new address is in the same voting district as the previous address.
