AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TAX CREDITS FOR PROJECTS IN ENTERPRISE ZONES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to allow a development company to accept the transfer to it of tax credits for research and development from a corporation that has received such credits pursuant to section 12-217j or 12-217n of the general statutes. The development company shall use such credits in furtherance of a commercial or residential real estate development project in an enterprise zone.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit the transfer of research and development tax credits to encourage commercial or residential development projects in enterprise zones.
