AN ACT CONCERNING UNUSED TUITION WAIVERS AT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND CHILDREN OF VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require that payment of tuition at public institutions of higher education shall be waived for any child of a veteran entitled to a tuition waiver, provided the number of semesters for which such child may receive any such tuition waiver shall be calculated by subtracting from eight the number of semesters for which such veteran received any such tuition waiver.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a tuition waiver at public institutions of higher education for any child of a veteran who did not utilize any tuition waiver to which such veteran was entitled.
