AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER CARDS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of electronic benefit transfer cards for public assistance outside the United States.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit persons from using electronic benefit transfer cards to gain access to public assistance outside the United States.
