AN ACT CONCERNING PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY FOR UNUSED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require pharmaceutical manufacturers to accept and dispose of unused prescription drugs and to establish convenient locations in each municipality in the state for unused drug recovery.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the abuse of prescription drugs, particularly opioids, by reducing availability.
