AN ACT CONCERNING STREAMLINING APPROVAL FOR NURSING HOMES TO SHELTER VULNERABLE RESIDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to streamline the approval process for nursing homes to take in vulnerable residents during a declared state of emergency.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that nursing homes can play a role in helping to provide shelter and care to vulnerable elderly and ill residents in a declared state of emergency.
