AN ACT REQUIRING THE PREPARATION OF A PLAN FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ELECTRONIC TOLLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Transportation, in consultation with appropriate state and federal agencies and offices, shall develop a plan for the operation of electronic tolls: (1) On existing highways throughout the state; and (2) on new highways or highway expansions, to pay the state's cost for such new or expanded highways. On or before January 12, 2011, the department shall submit the plan, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
