AN ACT PERMITTING A LANDLORD TO ENTER A RENTED DWELLING UNIT DURING THE PENDENCY OF A SUMMARY PROCESS ACTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 47a-16 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a landlord may lawfully enter the dwelling unit of a tenant during the pendency of a summary process action so that the landlord may make necessary repairs to the dwelling unit in preparation for a new tenant.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit a landlord to lawfully enter a rented dwelling unit during the pendency of a summary process action in order to make necessary repairs in preparation for a new tenant.
