AN ACT CONCERNING COMPENSATION OF A GUARDIAN AD LITEM OR ATTORNEY FOR A MINOR CHILD APPOINTED IN A FAMILY RELATIONS MATTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46b-62 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a court may not order a party to a family relations matter to pay fees to a guardian ad litem or attorney for a minor child appointed in a family relations matter, if at the time of such appointment, a party is receiving unemployment compensation.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the court from requiring a party to pay fees to a guardian ad litem or attorney for a minor child appointed in a family relations matter when such party is receiving unemployment compensation.
