AN ACT DESIGNATING A PORTION OF THE HOUSATONIC RIVER AS A WILD AND SCENIC RIVER FOR PURPOSES OF THE WILD AND SCENIC RIVERS ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to designate that portion of the Housatonic River running between the Massachusetts border and the Boardman Bridge in New Milford as a national wild and scenic rivers system to be preserved as provided for in the federal Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, P.L. 90-542, as amended.
Statement of Purpose:
To designate a portion of the Housatonic River as a wild and scenic river system.
