AN ACT REQUIRING THE REGISTRATION OF CONVICTED ANIMAL ABUSERS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ANIMAL ABUSER REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the registration of convicted animal abusers in the state and the establishment of an animal abuser registry.
Statement of Purpose:
To alert law enforcement and the public to the location of convicted animal abusers and to assist animal shelters in screening out potential animal adopters for convictions relating to animal abuse.
