AN ACT CONCERNING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH OVERSIGHT OVER GIFTS PROVIDED BY THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all pharmaceutical manufacturing companies and all pharmaceutical marketing companies to report on an annual basis on all gifts, including, but not limited to, payments, fees, meals, travel subsidies or other economic benefits, provided to health care providers that have value in excess of ten dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide full disclosure to state residents concerning the relationship between health care providers and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
