AN ACT REQUIRING TRAINING FOR MUNICIPAL ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require (1) that the Police Officer Standards and Training Council develop, in consultation with the Commissioner of Agriculture, a training program for certification of municipal animal control officers, and (2) that all municipal animal control officers complete the training program.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that municipal animal control officers complete a training program for certification.
