AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID COVERAGE FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAMS FOR PERSONS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to amend the Medicaid state plan to provide coverage for physical activity programs for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Statement of Purpose:

To facilitate participation of autistic people in physical and other activities that are beneficial to their well-being.
