AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURERS TO PROVIDE ADVANCE NOTICE OF ANY CHANGE IN ITS HEALTH CARE PROVIDER NETWORK THAT MAY RESULT IN INSUREDS NO LONGER BEING ABLE TO REMAIN PATIENTS OF A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require health insurers to provide notice to insureds of any change in its health care provider network that may result in an insured no longer being able to remain a patient of a health care provider, prior to such change taking effect.
