REP. JUTILA, 37th Dist. |
AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' COMPENSATION AND FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit an employer from counting an employee's workers' compensation-related absence concurrently with family and medical leave and to require that the worker's job be retained while they are absent due to a workers' compensation-related injury.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that workers do not lose any of their time mandated under the family and medical leave act when they have a workers' compensation-related absence and to build in protection so that their job is retained while out on workers' compensation leave.
