AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC EMPLOYERS, CRIMINAL HISTORIES AND EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit public employers from asking job applicants to disclose information concerning his or her criminal history until the employer has determined that the applicant meets the minimum employment qualifications.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove barriers to employment for individuals with criminal records.
