AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXAMINATION OF STATE TAXATION OF GASOLINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Program Review and Investigation Committee examine methods to restructure Connecticut's gas tax rates, including an examination of gasoline pricing in bordering states, to increase the amount of gas purchased in Connecticut and to prevent motorists from traveling to border states to obtain lower-priced gas.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase revenue in Connecticut by encouraging motorists to purchase gas in state rather than out of state.
