AN ACT REQUIRING DNA TESTING OF PERSONS ARRESTED FOR SERIOUS FELONY CRIMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That part IIa of chapter 961 of the general statutes be amended to require DNA testing of any person arrested for a serious felony crime.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure accurate identification of felony suspects thereby helping to solve cold cases, save lives, absolve the innocent and minimize racial bias.
