AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTRONIC REQUESTS FOR RECORDS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 1-212 of the general statutes be amended to require public agencies to accept requests for copies of a public record made by electronic mail as well as by mail, facsimile or hand delivery.
Statement of Purpose:
To mandate that public agencies accept requests for public records made by electronic mail as well as by mail, facsimile or hand delivery.
