AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICES AT COMMUNITY HOSPITALS FOR THE UNINSURED AND A REDUCTION IN THE STATE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide funding for uninsured health care services at local community hospitals by reducing the state earned income tax credit from the current thirty per cent of the federal level to fifteen per cent of the federal level.
Statement of Purpose:
To help mitigate budget deficit and allocate resources to earned income tax credit and provide sufficient funding for small community hospitals to continue health care services to persons who cannot afford to pay or are uninsured.
