AN ACT FAVORING CONNECTICUT COMPANIES FOR STATE CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 4e-48 of the general statutes be amended to provide that once the lowest original lowest responsible qualified bid is identified, the state contracting agency shall add a per cent increase to the original bid of nonresident bidders.
Statement of Purpose:
To help foster the growth and strength of Connecticut companies by adding a preference for resident bidders to the state contracting process.
