AN ACT CONCERNING IMPROVED ACCESS TO RECORDS IN COMMON INTEREST COMMUNITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 47-260 of the general statutes be amended to permit a unit owner with access to the records of an association relating to (1) any payment made to a member or officer of the executive board concerning the operation of the common interest community, and (2) a request for proposal sought by the executive board for goods or services that are to be provided to the common interest community.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide unit owners in a common interest community with improved access to records relating to potential or actual expenses incurred by such community.
