AN ACT RESTRICTING THE USE OF THE EARNED RISK REDUCTION CREDIT PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 18-98e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the award of earned risk reduction credits to any inmate convicted of 53a-72b, sexual assault in the third degree with a firearm, and 53a-102a, burglary in the second degree with a firearm.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect the public by prohibiting persons convicted of 53a-72b or 53a-102a from participating in the earned risk reduction credit program.
