REP. DILLON, 92nd Dist. |
AN ACT CONCERNING CHILD CARE SUBSIDIES FOR PARENTS ATTENDING COLLEGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-749 of the general statutes be amended to allow parents attending college to receive benefits under the child care subsidy program.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow parents attending college programs to receive benefits under the Care 4 Kids program. Parents of children in the Care 4 Kids program will gain more in the long run from a college degree than from a training program for a minimum wage position. Currently, parents do not receive benefits under the program when attending college programs.
