AN ACT EXEMPTING FAMILY-OWNED FARM LAND FROM THE ESTATE AND GIFT TAXES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to exempt from the estate and gift taxes family-owned land classified as farm land pursuant to section 12-107c of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent families from having to sell their farm land by exempting such land from the estate and gift taxes.
