AN ACT EDUCATING CONSUMERS REGARDING MONEY-WIRING SCAMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Consumer Protection to designate fraudulent money-wiring activity areas and to educate consumers via a checklist entitled "Am I Being Scammed?" to be provided to consumers at the point of transaction when they are attempting to wire money.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect consumers from money-wiring scams.
