RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO PROHIBIT THE IMPOSITION OF RETROACTIVE TAXES.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article twenty-eighth of the amendments to the Constitution of the state of Connecticut be amended to prohibit the General Assembly from authorizing an increase in any tax or the imposition of any new tax if such increase or imposition would have retroactive effect.
Statement of Purpose:
To amend the state Constitution to prohibit the imposition of retroactive taxes.
